12 Paul Storr Silver Dinner Plates, ca 1813

12 Paul Storr Silver Dinner Plates, ca 1813

Product# RA-202

An elegant set of 12 sterling silver dinner plates by the famous maker Paul Storr*. Plates are in circular hexafoil form, with 12 sided edges complete with gadrooning and foliate accents. At the top of each plate there is a crisp bright cut engraving of a falcon trussing a duck. The whole set was completed at the same time, making it more rare and valuable for collectors. At that time it was more typical to commission a smaller number of plates at once, then complete the set at a later date. Each of these plates carries the same hallmark series. Full hallmarks struck on back of each plate.

Great antique condition, cutlery marks commensurate with age and use.

English, 1813
