Rare pre-Civil War five piece silver set from Tiffany & Co. Baluster form with richly detailed repousse of winding ivy leaves and additional decorative accents. Background is fully texturized in minute detail, and all handles and spouts display a woody motif accompanied by oak leaves and acorns. Each piece has an engraved crest consisting of a shield surmounted by a boar's head along with a sword entwined by two serpents, and a banner that reads "Est Nec Astu".

This museum quality set has an order number mark of 6, meaning it was one of the first few sets in this pattern to have been commissioned. Pre-Civil War era silver is rarely seen on the market, particularly by an important maker such as Tiffany. In 2011 this set was displayed at The Headley-Whitney Museum in Lexington, Kentucky.

Set includes large coffee pot, medium tea pot, lidded creamer, lidded sugar and waste bowl. Excellent antique condition. Silver has been tested and found to be 900 coin silver.
